Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring prior Emergency Department experience and an active AK RN license.
Details
- Works in a 20-bed (headwall) plus 4-hall Emergency Department at a hospital located on the 2nd floor of Building C
- Staffing includes Charge RN, Flow Coordinator, RN, ED Tech, and Unit Secretary roles
- Patient ratios of 4:1, or 6:1 for lower acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients
- Utilizes equipment including Lucas device, Level 1 infuser, Alaris IV pumps, iStat, EPOC, and GE monitors
- Documents using EPIC EMR
- Night shift scheduled 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Rotating weekend coverage required
- Floating may be required based on facility needs
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior Emergency Department experience required
- Stroke and STEMI experience preferred
- Trauma and pediatric experience preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Additional Information
- Performs typical ED RN duties along with splinting and administering breathing treatments
- Works as part of a collaborative team including Charge RN, Flow Coordinator, ED Tech, and Unit Secretary staff
- Ideal candidates are flexible, positive, outgoing, efficient, and strong team players
- Navy blue scrubs required with an appropriate, professional fit
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
