Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN with a CA license and AWHONN certification for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of L&D experience.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Patient ratio of 1:1-2
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- No weekend requirement
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Advanced preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Independently applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- May supervise the work of staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates
- Demonstrates age-specific competencies in caring for a group of assigned patients
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
