Description

American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT or RCIS certification and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the Cath Lab specialty required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• Registered ARRT required, or RCIS required within 18 months of hire, or Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV specific certification, RCIS, or RCES required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Fluoroscopy Certification required
• Active license required if applicable
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures
• Act as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions during procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post-procedure care
• Maintain unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
• Radiation badges to be supplied by the vendor
• Returning employees must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a new travel assignment
