Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of Acute Rehab or Acute Care experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Sacramento, CA.

Details

  • Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 52 beds
  • Speech Therapy department within Therapy Services
  • Treats patients with TBI, SCI, and orthopedic trauma diagnoses
  • Caseload of 4-5 patients per day with 6 hours of treatment time daily
  • Cerner EHR system used for documentation
  • Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 36 guaranteed weekly hours
  • Weekend hours available on request
  • No call requirements
  • No float requirements

Requirements

  • Current California SLP license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute Rehab or Acute Care setting required

Additional Information

  • Provide intensive, patient-focused rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
  • Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program aimed at maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life
  • No scrub color requirement
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
  • Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
