Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery Recovery Postpartum position requiring C-section circulation skills and Epic EMR experience.
Details
- Work in a 6-bed Labor & Delivery unit with one C-section OR in a hospital setting
- Unit averages 100 deliveries monthly, collaborating with both OBGYNs and midwives
- Manage laboring patients, circulate and assist in C-sections, and recover both labor and surgical patients
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Night shift, 7:00pm to 7:00am
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- No on-call responsibilities
- 48 hours per week schedule highly preferred, though 36-hour contracts will be considered
- 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in North Carolina
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- 5 years of L&D experience highly preferred
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be able to circulate for C-sections
- Must be able to triage for OB patients
- Point of care testing experience required
Additional Information
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
- Perform bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and plan patient care
- Assess and address physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients and families
- Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
