Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
- X-Ray Tech unit performing radiology and cardiology imaging procedures
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, weekdays
- On-call requirements apply
- Float requirement between like units and potentially sister facilities within the state
- Uses Epic for charting
- Utilizes GE and Toshiba imaging equipment along with PACS and Fuji Synapse systems
- Block scheduling accommodations considered at manager's discretion
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- California license required if applicable
- Fluoroscopy certification required
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with general radiographic procedures including abdomen, chest, spine, pelvis, and extremity imaging
- Experience with fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enema
- Experience with mobile/portable and C-arm procedures
- Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
- Compact license must be active and in hand at time of consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic imaging across general radiography, fluoroscopy, and mobile/portable procedures
- May float between sister facilities within the same state as part of assignment expectations
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Local candidates are accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months and reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO must be submitted and finalized at time of consideration, with limited flexibility for post-offer changes
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
- Radiology staff scrub color is black
- Free parking available on first day, with additional parking details provided during orientation
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
