Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC position requiring strong trach, vent, and drip skills along with an active MO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the LTAC unit of a long-term acute care hospital
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Patient ratios of 1:5-6 typical for LTAC setting
- Every other weekend (EOW) work required
- Weekend and holiday rotation expected in line with staff scheduling
- Floating required in rotation with staff according to facility floating policies and clinical experience
Requirements
- Active RN license (MO or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of current, strong LTAC experience required
- Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and IV drips required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a long-term acute care hospital setting
- Requests for time off must be approved prior to assignment start and are preferably avoided during initial weeks
- Floating orientation provided in accordance with Joint Commission standards when floating to a new unit
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
