Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab Unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit of an 80-bed acute rehabilitation hospital
• Patient population includes stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other complex rehabilitation cases
• Unit has 65 beds with patient ratios of 5-6
• CNA support available on all shifts along with 11 hours of unit secretary support
• Uses equipment including IV pumps, specialty beds, feeding pumps, lifts, transfer equipment, and life vests
• Documentation completed using Meditech
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, mostly on weekends
• No floating required, as all units are connected and interchangeable

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• 2+ years of recent nursing experience required
• Med surg experience required, with rehab experience a plus
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other complex conditions
• Facility is CARF and Joint Commission certified
• Facility is a dedicated rehabilitation hospital, not a skilled nursing facility
• Dress code requires navy scrubs with white tops
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina with year-round mild weather and abundant recreational opportunities
