Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of cath lab experience, including peripheral angiogram/run-off skills, for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

- , featurin Cath Lab that features 4 cardiac rooms and 3 vascular rooms
- Cardiac case types include NON-STEMI, STEMI, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip procedures
- Vascular case types include lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, and TEVAR procedures
- EPIC EMR used for charting
- Uses Merge Hemo hemodynamic system, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, Philips/GE/Siemens X-ray equipment, ISCV PACS, and manifold equipment
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 0730-1800 on a 4-week schedule cycle
- Weekend rotation discussed during interview, occurring approximately every 4-5 weeks
- On-call requirements vary by track: Vascular call includes two weekends per month and two weekday calls with a 1-hour response time; Cardiac call includes one night per week and every 5th weekend with a 30-minute response time
- No floating required
- At least one holiday coverage required per contract if applicable

- Lab is currently a placeholder - to be replaced
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Must have peripheral angiogram/run-off experience
- Experience with endografts, EVAR, and TEVAR procedures preferred; willingness to be trained in these areas required if not already experienced
- Experience in IR or working alongside vascular surgeons highly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or RCIS certification required
- License required if applicable
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must reside at least 50 miles outside of the facility to be eligible for the position
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

- Lab team includes a traffic flow coordinator for add-on scheduling and staffing, charge nurse, VAD team, RT for emergencies, ECMO team, and code team support
- Facility is a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
- Orientation includes 1 week before taking call, 2 days of departmental orientation, ACE modules, and EPIC testing and modules
- Green scrubs provided

- Travelers cover each other's RTO, which may result in additional call responsibilities during others' time off
- RTO requests subject to manager approval
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates who previously worked a permanent position at this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
