Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring 2 years of hospital-based case management experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Acute Care Facility setting within the Case Management department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:20
• Weekend rotation required to meet department needs
• No floating expected
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (pending license accepted if licensed by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital Case Manager experience performing care coordination and discharge planning required
• Hospital experience is mandatory
• Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be screened by clinical team
• 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, plan of care development, and utilization of InterQual criteria
• Familiarity with CMS regulations and DRG (Diagnosis Related Groups) is relevant to this role
• Scrubs or business attire accepted
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• First-time travelers are accepted and will be screened by the clinical team
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
