Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-06:30) on rotating 36s/48s
- Weekend shifts required
- Some holiday coverage expected
- Mandatory floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby for closed departments, in accordance with client policies and Joint Commission standards
- Uses Cerner charting system (required for all travelers, in place since October 2022)
Requirements
- Active RN license (NM or Compact) in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP
- 3+ years of ER experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Skilled in respiratory care and triage
- Preferred experience with ventilated patients, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Two professional references required
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
- Previous travelers with the facility are welcome to reapply; permanent staff seeking to transition to travel roles require facility approval
- RTO requests must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start, with minimal time-off requests preferred during the assignment
