Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-06:30) on rotating 36s/48s
• Weekend shifts required
• Some holiday coverage expected
• Mandatory floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby for closed departments, in accordance with client policies and Joint Commission standards
• Uses Cerner charting system (required for all travelers, in place since October 2022)

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP
• 3+ years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care and triage
• Preferred experience with ventilated patients, telemetry, and conscious sedation
• Two professional references required
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Previous travelers with the facility are welcome to reapply; permanent staff seeking to transition to travel roles require facility approval
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start, with minimal time-off requests preferred during the assignment
