Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC position requiring telemetry, vent, and transplant experience at a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units within a hospital setting
- Care for telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00am-7:30pm
- Every other weekend required with some holidays
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
- Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required
- Prior travel experience required
- Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and post-transplant care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must pass telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher passing score
Additional Information
- Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code team activation
- Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Manage respiratory needs including ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
- Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital and referral center
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- All references must be removed from consideration profile
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
