Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC position requiring telemetry, vent, and transplant experience at a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.

Details

• Work in IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units within a hospital setting
• Care for telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00am-7:30pm
• Every other weekend required with some holidays
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
• Academic Level I or II trauma center experience or similar size hospital required
• Prior travel experience required
• Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and post-transplant care experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass telemetry exam with strict criteria prior to starting, including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% or higher passing score

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code team activation
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Manage respiratory needs including ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
• Located at a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching hospital and referral center
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• All references must be removed from consideration profile
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
