Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a SC or compact RN license.

• LTAC ICU unit within a long-term acute care hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36-48 hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas

Requirements

• Active RN license (South Carolina or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a similar unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• LTAC, teaching hospital, community hospital, and trauma level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV drip titration, and arterial/central line care

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex ICU patients requiring ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced medication management
• Manage patients with conditions such as ARDS, sepsis, renal failure, GI bleeds, and cardiac events
• Annual compliance orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Adheres to infection prevention and isolation precaution protocols
• First-time travelers may be considered with sufficient recent unit experience
