Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Operating Room position requiring circulate experience and NM or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Outpatient Operating Room setting within a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital
- Performs circulating duties across a wide range of specialties including Eye, ENT, GYN, Urology, OMF/Dental, Ortho, General/Plastics, Spine/Pain, Vascular, and Robotics
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
- Weekend requirement of 1 weekend per month for trauma eye call only
- On-call required for eye trauma cases only: weekday call from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM once per week, and weekend call for a full 24-hour period (7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday) once per month
- No floating required outside of scope
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
- BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Circulate experience required
- 3-4 years of overall experience in ophthalmology, robotics, and orthopedics required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Cataract case experience preferred
- Previous travel experience required
- Pending license accepted for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide circulating RN support across multiple surgical specialties in an outpatient OR setting
- Must work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
- Scrubs provided by facility
- No on-site parking fees
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates not accepted within 100-mile radius of the facility
- Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require facility approval
- COVID vaccination is optional, but proof of vaccination series or a signed declination must be submitted for facility reporting purposes
