Description

American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Neuropsych Unit requiring 2 years of experience and a Maryland or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Behavioral Health unit of a psychiatric hospital
• Adolescent Neuropsych Unit serving a largely nonverbal autism population
• High acuity unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to any age population as scheduling needs require
• May be required to work as charge RN during a shift
• Uses Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration - temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuropsych population experience preferred
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
• Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via livescan prior to start
• Two professional references required for consideration

• Navy blue scrubs required

• One pre-approved RTO request allowed, must be submitted with initial profile
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position
• Candidates who apply for a permanent position at the facility must wait one year before applying as a traveler
• Orientation occurs every other Thursday and includes required training modules completed annually
