Description
American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Neuropsych Unit requiring 2 years of experience and a Maryland or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Behavioral Health unit of a psychiatric hospital
- Adolescent Neuropsych Unit serving a largely nonverbal autism population
- High acuity unit
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to any age population as scheduling needs require
- May be required to work as charge RN during a shift
- Uses Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration - temporary licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Neuropsych population experience preferred
- Previous charge RN experience preferred
- Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
- Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
- Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via livescan prior to start
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free employee parking available on campus
- One pre-approved RTO request allowed, must be submitted with initial profile
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted
- Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position
- Candidates who apply for a permanent position at the facility must wait one year before applying as a traveler
- Orientation occurs every other Thursday and includes required training modules completed annually
