Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring CT or compact RN licensure and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
• One professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious/medical exemptions

• Provide emergency department nursing care within a Level II Trauma Center environment

• Part of a large regional health system
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital
• Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Any vacation plans between sign date and start date should be communicated early to allow for a realistic start date
