Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring CT or compact RN licensure and prior travel experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Level II Trauma Center setting
- Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious/medical exemptions

- Provide emergency department nursing care within a Level II Trauma Center environment
- Free parking available onsite
- Part of a large regional health system
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital
- Former staff members must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
- Any vacation plans between sign date and start date should be communicated early to allow for a realistic start date
