Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3 years of OR experience, Level I or II trauma experience, and prior travel assignment experience.
Details
- Work in a 41-OR suite within a Level I Trauma Center
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Handles General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery cases
- 12-hour day shifts, primarily starting at 0645 with occasional float shifts starting at 0845 or 1045
- Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday, with the weekday varying weekly based on staffing needs
- Weekend work required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required to other UCH OR units within scope
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
- Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with a wide range of surgical case types including Gynecology, Plastics, Neurology, Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, and ENT procedures
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Circulate and assist with a variety of complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties including craniotomy, spinal fusion, and trauma cases
- Facility-specific orientation modules must be completed within the first week of the assignment
- Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
- RTO is restricted during several blackout periods throughout the contract, including late June, early September, and late October into November
- Candidates who have completed a full year on assignment at this facility must wait at least one year before being rebooked
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are accepted
