Description

American Traveler is seeking an Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist with pediatric feeding and swallowing expertise for a hospital-based pediatric SLP role in Massachusetts.

Details

  • Hospital setting providing acute care speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients
  • Role involves flexibility across inpatient, outpatient, and Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) care
  • Preferred experience includes NICU, Pediatric Inpatient Floor, Pediatric Intensive Care, trach and vent patients, and Outpatient Clinical Feeding Evaluations
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4:30pm
  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts
  • 26-week contract length

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certification required
  • Massachusetts state SLP license required if applicable
  • Minimum 3+ years of pediatric feeding and swallowing experience required
  • Independent completion of pediatric competencies required
  • Current CPR certification required
  • FEES competency preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include providing pediatric feeding and swallowing assessments and treatment across care settings
  • Required to attend all team meetings during working hours
  • Must complete SLP department training and obtain sign-off on BMC Pediatric SLP Competencies upon starting
  • Must adhere to SLP department standards for patient care and documentation
  • Reports to and is supervised by the Pediatric SLP Section Leader
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
