Description
American Traveler is hiring a PICU RN for a 12-week travel assignment requiring PALS certification and an OH or compact RN license in hand
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a Magnet-designated hospital
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Float required to a secondary campus location in addition to the main campus
- All travelers may be required to float to competent units
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active RN license (OH state or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration, no exceptions
- BSN required for consideration at this Magnet facility
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
- 2 years of overall RN experience required
- Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, infection control/PPE, and wound assessment/care
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the PICU
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Prior facility employees may be considered for return as travelers as long as they are not currently active employees
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
