Description
American Traveler is hiring a Multimodality (CT/X-Ray) Technologist with 1+ year of registered radiological technology and CT experience for a hybrid role across two campuses.
Details
- Hybrid multimodality role performing both CT scans and radiographic exams across two locations
- Main campus is an acute care hospital in Orangeburg; second site is an 11-bed freestanding ER with X-ray room, portable X-ray, and CT staffed by one multimodality tech per 12-hour shift
- Adult acute care patient population
- 3x12 hour day/night shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Friday 6:30a-7p at main campus in Orangeburg
- Saturday 6:30a-7p and Sunday 6:30p-7a at the freestanding ER location
- On-call rotation required among staff at the freestanding ER location only
- If on-call shifts are not filled, additional weekend work may be required
- Uses PACS and Epic charting systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Radiological Technologist and in Computed Tomography
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required
- SCRQSA (R)(CT) certification required
- BLS and CPR certification required (AHA only)
- License required if applicable
- Must have completed an AMA-approved school of radiological technology
- Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs CT scans and diagnostic radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures
- Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns
- Scrub color requirement is black pants with a teal top
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- During hurricane season (June through November, peaking in August and September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
- No parking costs for staff
