Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Adult Intensive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU) of a 30-bed hospital unit
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Uses Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000 equipment
• Utilizes Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend commitment required (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Floating to other inpatient areas required when home unit has low census
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required for Indiana
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Comprehensive assessment skills required
• Experience caring for septic patients required
• Experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• EKG testing required as part of consideration process
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to critically ill adult ICU patients including sepsis, respiratory failure, and mechanically ventilated patients
• Report to 3 East in the Tower building on first day
• Orientation includes online modules completed on day one, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit orientation
• Navy scrubs required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not permitted
• Team player mentality with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy expected
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are considered local and may be offered a reduced bill rate
