Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down unit position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• ,ra hospital's HVTI-Stepdown unit setting
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) with rotating D/N schedule
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio permanent or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• One manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty applying for required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care with potential to float to related units and the ED
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless client-approved
