Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and ARRT/BLS certification.
Details
- Short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma designation
- 672 staffed beds facility with 4 CT scanners in house
- Handles inpatient and outpatient cases including neuro, full body, cancer, stroke, and lung screening exams
- Approximately 100 patients scanned per day
- Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:45 PM to 10:45 PM
- Weekend shifts available for those willing and able to pick up open shifts
- On-call required for those willing to take weekday/weekend call
- May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate/sister facilities as needed
- Uses Siemens Force and GE scanners, PACS, and contrast administration
- Charting system is Epic/Excellian
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience required
- ARRT, ARRT-R, and BLS certification required; ARRT-CT preferred
- License required if applicable
- Pending state license accepted
- Community Hospital experience required
- Inpatient, ER, and Adult ICU work setting experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- Experience with PACS and contrast media required
- Experience with Siemens and GE scanner equipment required
- Skilled in abdomen/pelvis imaging, IV pyelogram, and various contrast studies
- Experience with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage, myelography, and vascular CTA preferred
- Proficient in peripheral IV starts, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience with image display and post-processing, including multiplanar reconstruction preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted for this radiology position
- Solid gray scrubs required
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days during the assignment
- Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem)
- May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
- No block scheduling accommodations available
