Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 16-week assignment at a transplant facility and primary stroke center, requiring 1+ year of MRI experience and ARRT MR/R certification.
Details
- Transplant facility and primary stroke center with an MRI/MRA-heavy caseload
- Day shift, 4x10 hours, Thursday-Sunday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- One call weekend every 6 weeks
- May float within facility scope of practice and to outpatient settings as needed
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
- ARRT MR certification required, or ARRT R certification accepted
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI imaging
- Skilled in special imaging procedures including diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, and spin echo imaging
- Experience with GE and Siemens equipment and PACS system
- Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Perform MRI/MRA imaging studies including abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal exams
- Conduct quality assurance geometry accuracy checks
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, must be finalized at time of consideration
- If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of those holidays is expected with no holiday RTO available
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of two is expected with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
- Full compliance required to start on time, as non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Past employees or travelers must be away from all facility locations for one full year before returning as a traveler
