Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level I Trauma Center ER RN with at least 1.5 years of experience and a Massachusetts RN license in hand.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Shift start time has rare flexibility of up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Cares for psych/behavioral health ED patients

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of RN experience required, 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Skilled in respiratory care and care of ventilated patients
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Triage skills preferred
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Must pass a medication exam and a telemetry exam at orientation, each with only 1 attempt; failure to pass results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to help prepare for exams
• Pre-start and orientation modules required, with pre-start modules taking 1-2 hours
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week of the assignment
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
