Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift contract position requiring High Risk OB experience and Advanced AWHONN/EFM certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital with 12 LDR beds, 5 Ante Partum beds, 4 OBED beds, and 3 OR rooms
- Patient ratios are 1:2, with 1:1 during transition based on acuity
- Unit performs C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, scheduled and emergent C-Hysterectomy, and massive transfusion cases
- Uses Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps
- EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech
- 13-week contract on night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
- No call requirements
- Self-scheduling model used among team members
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Advanced AWHONN or AWHONN Intermediate EFM certification required
- CPI certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in High Risk OB required
- 3+ years of High Risk OB experience preferred
- Experience with massive transfusion and PASD (placenta accreta spectrum disorders) preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit handling complex obstetric cases
- Facility is a Level II Trauma Center serving obstetrical patients with Level I and Level II injuries
- Maternal Designation Level III and Neonatal Level II designations, with next-level advancement in progress
- Joint Commission accredited in Women's Services
- Highly engaged, team-oriented staff with a mix of tenured and newer nurses
- Management team is actively involved, including rounding on night shift and weekend teams
- CST staff required to wear sky blue scrubs
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
