Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool night shift position requiring Level I trauma center ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position within a Level I trauma center hospital
• Floats across a variety of ICU settings including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU)
• Also cares for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma center ICU experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across multiple ICU units highly desired
• Epic EMR experience required
• Competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration, with 2 attempts allowed to pass
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations are not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to a wide range of ICU patient populations across multiple specialty units
• Navy blue scrubs required
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
