Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced IR Tech for an Interventional Radiology position requiring ARRT Radiography certification and at least 2 years of IR and scrub experience.
Details
- Work in a hospital Interventional Radiology department (Bell Unit)
- Fast-paced, high-volume environment handling 60-65 cases per day
- Operates 7 procedure rooms and manages cases neck-down with some light neuro overflow such as thyroid biopsies
- Handles all lines for the entire hospital, including outpatient services
- Uses Siemens Artis icono, Artis Q, and Artis zee single-plane imaging systems
- Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday with a rotating day off
- No weekend requirements
- On-call required as needed
- May float to Cambridge IR
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography certification required in hand
- Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license required (may start with pending KS license after offer) or compact RN license
- AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of IR and scrub experience required
- 3+ years of IR experience, large hospital experience, and peripheral/neurovascular experience preferred
- New graduates will not be considered
Additional Information
- Facility is nicotine free
- Orientation held every Monday and Tuesday, with additional nursing orientation Wednesday-Friday on a bi-weekly basis
- Credentials due one week prior to start date (Monday)
- Holiday coverage not required, though pay is adjusted in the subsequent pay period if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday
- Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate for this location
- A 60-mile radius rule applies specifically to The University of Kansas Health System Great Bend campus, not this position
