Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring prior travel experience and EPIC proficiency within a large trauma 1 teaching facility.
Details
- Work in the Endoscopy unit of a large academic medical center
- Perform numerous ERCP procedures
- Mix of 9-hour rotating day/evening shifts
- On-call responsibilities required
- No floating required
- 40 hours per week over a 26-week assignment
- Holiday coverage required for 2 of the following 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
Requirements
- Active RN license (VT or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required, AHA PALS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Recent experience in a trauma level 1, large (500+ bed), academic teaching facility required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience starting IVs, assessing H&P information, and post-procedure recovery for patients receiving conscious sedation required
- Experience administering conscious sedation medication and monitoring patients in the procedure room required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the endoscopy suite, including IV starts, sedation administration, and post-procedure monitoring
- Assess patient history and physical information prior to procedures
- Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation throughout procedures
- Bi-weekly orientations are held on Mondays
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation in the area
- All-season or snow tires recommended for vehicles during November through April
- Local candidates accepted
- Radius-based pay tiers apply based on direct-line mileage from the facility
