Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center MICU requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a 400+ bed Level III Trauma Center community hospital
• Care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• Night shift does not rotate
• Uses EPIC EMR charting system
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2+ years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Telemetry competency required, including the ability to read tele strips
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
