Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 36-hour, day rotate position requiring 2+ years of MICU experience and telemetry competency.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
• Care for a wide range of adult patients with diagnoses such as substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
• Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24 hours a day
• Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units
• RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg areas
• Day Rotate schedule may include rotation between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts as needed
• Night shift does not rotate
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of continuous Adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
