Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound General/Vascular Technologist to perform echocardiograms, general abdominal/OB-GYN, and vascular studies with BLS certification required.
Details
- Hospital and clinic setting within diagnostic imaging
- Performs echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, general ultrasound (abdomen, OB/GYN), and vascular studies
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses EMR to generate and complete exam orders
- Utilizes PACS system for releasing and transmitting images
Requirements
- Active state license required, if applicable
- BLS certification required, or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- ARDMS certifications preferred (RVT, OB, AB) or must obtain after hire
- RDCS registration preferred or must obtain after hire
- Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound
- No prior experience required
Additional Information
- Set up and assist radiologist and pathologist during procedures
- Perform, record, and analyze QC data to maintain accuracy and precision
- Maintain safe and efficient working environment through equipment checks and cleaning
- Complete in-house education and competencies to maintain clinical knowledge
- Notify supervisors of malfunctioning equipment and coordinate service personnel
- Assist with patient transport and front desk check-in/check-out duties
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance patient and staff experience
- Regular attendance required with minimal unplanned time off
