Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed ICU within a 154-bed hospital setting
• Adult patient population with common diagnoses including sepsis, COPD exacerbation, hypotension urgency, and hypertension urgency
• Maintains a 2:1 patient ratio
• Uses Paragon EHR system
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule with every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Occasional floating to PCU required

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU experience required
• Associate's degree required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients in a Duke Lifepoint hospital that is Joint Commission accredited and designated as a Chest Pain Center
• Facility offers a range of specialty services including orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule with upcoming start dates
• Navy scrub color required
• No excessive piercings or unconventional hair colors permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel pay rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
