Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2-3+ years of ED experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 154-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital with Chest Pain Center and Joint Commission accreditation
• 17-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 1:4
• Geriatric and adult patient population with some pediatric cases
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric conditions
• Uses ED Paragon EHR system
• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Every other weekend required unless working opposite a weekender
• Self-scheduling via When to Work app
• No call requirements
• No float requirements

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• 2-3+ years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• ADN required at minimum
• Must be able to efficiently and safely care for a team of patients regardless of acuity
• Must recognize changes in patient status and know how to respond appropriately
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
