Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multi-Modality Tech (CT/X-Ray) for a night shift assignment, requiring ARRT certification in both Radiography and CT.

Details

• Diagnostic imaging department performing both CT and X-Ray procedures
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program with education verification required
• ARRT registered in Radiography and CT
• Current WI-DSPS radiographer license required if applicable
• AHA BLS/CPR certification required
• State license must be currently active

Additional Information

• Provides clinical leadership support to the department coordinator, including advanced-level clinical duties and project completion
• Maintains competency across all exams performed within assigned modalities
• Corroborates patient clinical history with ordered procedures and ensures documentation is available for radiologist review
• Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions and support to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation
• Selects and operates imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures
• Positions patients appropriately for imaging while respecting comfort and ability
• Practices aseptic technique and prepares/administers contrast media as needed
• Starts and maintains intravenous access for contrast administration
• Initiates basic life support when necessary
• Provides patient education throughout the imaging process
• Offers input on supply and equipment needs and helps maintain inventory control
• Provides practical instruction to students and colleagues
• Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identification procedures
