Description
American Traveler is hiring a Multi-Modality Tech (CT/X-Ray) for a night shift assignment, requiring ARRT certification in both Radiography and CT.
Details
- Diagnostic imaging department performing both CT and X-Ray procedures
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program with education verification required
- ARRT registered in Radiography and CT
- Current WI-DSPS radiographer license required if applicable
- AHA BLS/CPR certification required
- State license must be currently active
Additional Information
- Provides clinical leadership support to the department coordinator, including advanced-level clinical duties and project completion
- Maintains competency across all exams performed within assigned modalities
- Corroborates patient clinical history with ordered procedures and ensures documentation is available for radiologist review
- Prepares patients for procedures, providing instructions and support to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation
- Selects and operates imaging equipment and accessories to perform procedures
- Positions patients appropriately for imaging while respecting comfort and ability
- Practices aseptic technique and prepares/administers contrast media as needed
- Starts and maintains intravenous access for contrast administration
- Initiates basic life support when necessary
- Provides patient education throughout the imaging process
- Offers input on supply and equipment needs and helps maintain inventory control
- Provides practical instruction to students and colleagues
- Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identification procedures
