Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring ARRT CT/R certification and at least 1 year of experience, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Critical access hospital with 23 total staffed beds
- CT Tech unit performing both CT and X-ray duties
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department settings
- Procedures include abdomen and pelvis CT (with/without contrast), chest CT (with/without contrast), head and neck CT (with/without contrast), and spine/musculoskeletal imaging
- Special procedures include aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, drainage, and vascular CTA
- Uses GE equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR preferred
- Night shift, 4x10 hours, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Block schedule required, Monday through Thursday
- No weekends or on-call required
- No floating between units required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
- Proficiency in radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform CT scans and X-rays across a range of adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department cases
- Responsibilities include contrast administration, peripheral IV starts, and radiation safety compliance
- Scrubs of any color accepted for outpatient and PT areas, with scrubs provided for OR/L&D
- No parking fees at this facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
- Former Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
