Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute care assignment in California, requiring 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience and prior travel experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 1:20 during day shifts
- Required to work every other weekend
- No floating expectation between units
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care case management and discharge planning experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be screened for consideration
- Epic charting system experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Business attire or scrubs accepted for dress code
- Must be available to work holidays, committing to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO limited to no more than 7 days
- First-time travelers will be considered but must undergo additional screening
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as required
