Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute care assignment in California, requiring 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:20 during day shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• No floating expectation between units
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, pending license accepted if licensed by start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care case management and discharge planning experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be screened for consideration
• Epic charting system experience required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Business attire or scrubs accepted for dress code
• Must be available to work holidays, committing to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days
• First-time travelers will be considered but must undergo additional screening
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state as required
