Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN with a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 38-bed Level II Trauma Center ICU treating a mixed population of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients
- Care for post-operative open-heart patients including those on VV/VA ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT
- Patient ratios range from 2:1 to 1:1 depending on acuity
- Uses Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, Maquet Cardiohelp and Medtronic Vital Flow ECMO equipment, and NICOM
- Documents in Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU hospital experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
- Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
- CVICU/CTICU experience with immediate post-operative open heart surgery patients preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial and central line insertions
- Provide airway care and frequent drip titrations
- Join a team of 125 staff with 16-18 staff plus 1 charge nurse per shift
- Ideal candidates are strong team players with attention to detail
- Facility is located near mountains offering nearby outdoor recreation year-round
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
