Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 1 year of L&D/couplet care experience and NM or compact RN licensure.
Details
- , 3x12-hift shifts (18:00-06:30) with
- Option of 36 or 48 hours per week available
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating to like units within scope required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
Requirements
- Active NM (New Mexico) or compact RN license required, must be obtained prior to start if pending
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required, including couplet care/LDRP
- Skills required: newborn care, newborn assessment, infant identification, thermoregulation, assisting with vaginal delivery, C-section recovery, postpartum care, episiotomy/incisional care, breastfeeding/lactation support, and obstetrical triage
- Newborn hypoglycemia and phototherapy experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Antepartum settings
- Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, postpartum care, cesarean section recovery, and newborn assessments
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
- Previous staff members must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
