Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 1900-0700
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Uses Cerner charting system
• STEMI and Stroke Certified facility

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (NIHSS preferred)
• Only AHA or Red Cross certifications accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Prior experience with 1:4-5 patient ratios required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• At least one supervisory reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Manage a wide range of emergency cases including pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
• Perform triage, IV therapy, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, and splint application
• Administer and monitor emergency medications, including vasopressors and procedural sedation
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Navy scrubs required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• RTO limited to one request per contract
• Previous permanent employees eligible to return as travelers after 1 year of separation
