Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a Level 1 trauma acute care setting, requiring 3+ years of experience and RDCS or RCS certification.

Details

• Echocardiography unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma facility
• 500 beds across all hospital campuses with 5 outpatient clinic rooms
• Perform inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms
• Occasional stress echocardiograms and assistance with transesophageal echocardiograms
• Utilizes Philips Epiq, Affinity, and IE33 machines, plus GE E95 and Vivid E9 systems
• Reporting via Epiq Cupid and Sectra Cardiology PACS
• Day shifts from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM
• Staffed/on-call one weekend per month alongside another staff member
• On-call one day per week
• May work alone after hours if called in
• Rotates between two campuses, but not within the same day

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• RDCS or RCS certification required
• BLS certification required through the American Heart Association
• NMTCB(N) or NDMIRT certification required, or willingness to obtain
• Pediatric experience required
• Graduate of an accredited sonography program
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation includes approximately two weeks split between clinic (protocol and expectations) and hospital (way-finding)
• Gray scrub color required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Local candidates may be considered, though a reduced rate may apply for those living within 80 miles of the facility
