Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 3 years of recent ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48-hour shift schedules can be accommodated
• Facility staffs according to departmental needs and does not accommodate block scheduling or special scheduling requests

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• PALS certification required (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
• Minimum of 3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned group of ED patients following established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct various levels of nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care priorities
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating patient progress toward desired outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Appropriately delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior hit on their license will not be considered
• No radius requirement; local candidates are paid at the same rate as travelers
• Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical or religious exemptions available
