Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or Compact RN license and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Schedule of 3x12-hour Mid/Night variable shifts
• Weekend shifts required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS required (all must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to start)
• ENPC certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the Emergency Department specialty required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Perform health teaching and counseling for patients
• Provide therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Review and monitor ongoing therapy and treatment plans
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
