Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Acute Renal Care unit position requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Work in a 34-bed Acute Renal Care unit within a hospital setting
  • Renal-focused patient population including ESRD and peritoneal dialysis cases
  • Patient ratio of 4-5:1
  • RN is not responsible for reading telemetry
  • Utilizes medications including heparin drip and insulin
  • Requires skills in dialysis assessment, PCA, feeding tubes, and wound vac care
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am
  • Works 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Required to work every other weekend

Requirements

  • Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
  • Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN telemetry experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to support care needs
  • Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge planning
  • May delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and serve as a mentor/preceptor
  • Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
  • Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
