Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position requiring WI or compact RN license and prior telemetry, vent, and transplant experience.
Details
- Work across two IMC units: Acute Med/Progressive Care (D6/5) and Thoracic (B4/3)
- Cardiac, oncology, and telemetry/PCU/DOU/stepdown patient population
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00pm-7:30am, Monday through Friday
- Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
- Uses Epic charting system
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in telemetry/oncology/cardiac/PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown specialty
- Trauma Level II experience required, Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months
- Vent and transplant experience required
- Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Experience with central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and IV therapy
- Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiac and thoracic telemetry environment
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
