Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring current ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification and at least 1 year of chemo experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting for adult patients
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours weekly
- Administers PO and SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered
- Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
- Provides phone triage and coordinates patient follow-up care
Requirements
- Active RN License (Standard or Compact/eNLC) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required
- Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient infusion and chemotherapy nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Delivers chemotherapy-related patient and family education
- Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians and medical personnel
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and notes changes in physician orders
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility strictly enforces credentialing and onboarding deadlines with no push start dates allowed
- Returning workers limited to one extension up to 26 weeks total, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or assignment end
