Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/PCU position requiring 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Hospital setting on the Med Surg 7E unit
• Placement may be on a PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on the traveler's skill set and greatest facility need
• 13-week assignment
• Shift schedule of 07:00-19:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating required within skill set onsite or to sister facilities within 40 miles if needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills competency must be completed
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Care for patients on a stepdown or telemetry unit with acuity requiring close monitoring
• Radius rule applies; local candidates within the facility's designated radius may be considered at a reduced rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
