Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down/PCU position requiring 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Med Surg 7W unit of a hospital environment
- May be placed on a PCU or Med/Surg/Tele unit based on the traveler's skill set and greatest need
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
- 13-week assignment
- Floating required within skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles if needed
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (WI or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), both must be AHA
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry and acute care nursing services on a Step Down/PCU or Med-Surg unit
- Same credentialing accepted for both Med-Surg and Step Down (PCU) specialties
- Radius rule applies which may affect pay rate eligibility for local candidates
- Local candidates are accepted, potentially at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
