Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and prior travel assignment experience for a day-shift role.
Details
- bothatient and outpatient mammography setting
- 5x8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, fine needle aspiration, needle localizations, screening mammograms, and stereotactic biopsy
- Uses Hologic 3D equipment, PACS, and Synapse/Hologic imaging systems
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- ARRT (M) or ARRT (R) certification preferred
- BLS certification required
- CA state license required if applicable
- Compact license, if applicable, must be in hand at time of consideration
- Experience with digital quality assurance procedures and radiation safety preferred
- Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE and universal precautions/core measures
- Ability to teach breast self-exams (BSE) preferred
- Must live within 50 miles of the facility or be willing to accept a lower bill rate
Additional Information
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Two supervisory references are required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Candidates must disclose any prior employment with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles, along with location and dates
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not apply within 50 miles of their prior facility
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Local candidates are accepted at a lower bill rate
