Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT-N or NMTCB/CNMT certification.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Utilizes GE and Siemens imaging equipment
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- ARRT-N and/or NMTCB, CNMT certification required
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
- Proficiency in Bone Scan (3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body), Myocardial Exercise/Rest studies, Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, and PET Scan procedures
- Experience with Thyroid Studies, Uptake Scan, and Lung Scan (Ventilation/Perfusion) preferred
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and proper storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
- 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Must provide response regarding any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem staff
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans, myocardial studies, gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, PET scans, and thyroid/lung studies
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
